Overview
We are seeking an Account Executive to join our Technology group. This is a junior level position where you’ll work collaboratively with team members on key account projects and help organize the team around upcoming assignments. You will work as the right hand to mid-levels on the team contributing to the overall strategic direction of an account.
You will be responsible for pitching media and securing coverage opportunities as well as maintaining team operations with agendas, action items, and reports. You will also be expected to actively network with media and influencers to develop relationships.
You will support in developing highly curated media lists to provide your teams with accurate journalist information to successfully secure coverage for your clients. This role will entail conducting industry monitoring to flag any trends, issues, and media coverage for clients. This role will support two clients in our Technology portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop initial earned media strategies with guidance from SAE/AM; conduct proactive and reactive media relations outreach ongoing.
- Maintain regular and clear communication with team and client, own account projects from start to finish and proactively flag opportunities for clients.
- Build media relationships on behalf of the client and the agency.
- Draft press materials, speaker submissions, blog and social media content and bylines for review by a senior team member.
- Oversee junior team members and provide direction, edits, and support on assignments.
- Serve as a day-to-day client contact on smaller account teams, building strong relationships with client contacts.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the industry and competitors for every client to provide recommendations on strategies to internal colleagues and clients, as appropriate.
- Participate in new business pitch development and presentations, as appropriate.
- Promote and uphold Allison’s core values; participates in agency-wide training and professional development programs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a junior employee in public relations, marketing, or a related field. Account Executives at Allison typically have a minimum of 2+ years of experience.
- An interest or background in technology (B2B or consumer tech) strongly preferred.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and enthusiastic about the work.
- Strong writing skills.
- Critical thinking to help shape programs, advise junior team members, and make recommendations to clients.
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel alongside Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Proficient with media monitoring and data analytics tools including Muckrack, Cision, Critical Mention, etc.

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $55k-$75k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
