Under general supervision, the Media Designer uses advanced skills gained through training and experience to plan, develop, design, establish, and maintain visual communications for the organization using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools to achieve marketing and/or information goals of the organization. The Graphic Designer will support leadership in larger initiatives including branding, collateral, merchandise print production, digital, social, website design presentations. Additionally, the multimedia graphic designer will work with Marketing and Communication Senior Staff, to create, execute, maintain, and update corporate identity standards.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesConceptualize, create, and manage visual direction and execution of creative assets for comprehensive media campaigns across the organization along with organization exhibition media (banners, postcards, drop flyers, etc.)Manage and maintain the main organization website including monitoring errors and troubleshootingDevelop/conceptualize creative images, videos, and wide spectrum of content for social media channels; digital channels; exhibits; presentations; special events across all departments and services of organization and present to internal team and clientsGraphic design for individual event mailers, event and program flyers, brochures, large format signage, billboards, and electronic mediaDevelop style guides as neededEnsure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and adhere to brand guidelinesCreate icons, infographics, logos, and other visual/digital media used to promote overall brand, services, departments/centers, and major campaign initiativesManage and compile constituted (electronic campaign) lists, design, send and run analysis on e-blasts and other digital/electronic campaignsExecute proper alpha and beta testing for all new individual program sitesUpdate website content on a regular basisMaintain and troubleshoot individual program websites and micro sitesStay up to date in design strategies and techniquesOperate standard office equipment and use required software applicationsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedKnowledge OfHTML and CSSAdobe Creative SuiteProject Management SoftwareCMS (Content Management System)Skill InA strong portfolio of creative work across platforms, displaying creativity and technical skillsOperating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft OfficeBasic use of web programming languages including Javascript and PHPWebhost c-Panels, and DNS preferredKnowledge of principles and practices of graphic design and its tools, including expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Apps; Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Familiarity with Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro desiredAbility ToThink creatively and to develop original ideas and bring them to executionDesign web pages; digital creative assets; event materialsTake creative direction and to plan outcomes within brand guidelinesSet-up design files for printing; print specs, coordinating with printers for print productionMaintain organization brand integrity throughout all work performedPartner with other functional areas as well as external business partners to accomplish objectivesGather information, identify linkages and trends, and apply findings to assignmentsOrganize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlinesCommunicate effectively, both orally and in writingWork independently as well as collaboratively within a team environmentProvide a high level of customer serviceEstablish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and with external business partnersEducational/Previous Experience RequirementsMinimum Degree Required:Bachelor’s degreeRequired Disciplines:Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field~or~At least 2-3 years related design experience or any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human ResourcesDemonstrated graphic design experience via portfolioLicenses/CertificationsLicenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire: NoneWorking ConditionsHours:
