Overview
The Marketing Comm Specialist partners with Service Line Directors and other leaders to ensure alignment of system and business unit goals and priorities in the development and implementation of communications plans that focus on patient and employee audiences.
The Marketing Comm Specialist manages the implementation of these plans to include direct mail, collateral production, advertising, and events, including account management and coordination with vendors and ad agencies.
The Marketing Comm Specialist develops and manages outreach initiatives including community educational seminars, speakers’ bureaus, trade show participation, and event support.

Minimum of three (3) years experience in a public relations or community outreach position to include:Development and implementation of communications plans;Coordination of direct mailings, collateral production, and advertising;Account management and coordination of vendors and ad agencies;Coordination of community events.Experience PREFERRED:
Minimum of five (5) years experience in a public relations or community outreach position to include:Development and implementation of communications plans;Coordination of direct mailings, collateral production, and advertising;Account management and coordination of vendors and ad agencies;Coordination of community events;Supervisory or management experience;Experience in a healthcare environment.Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or closely related area from an accredited program.Education/training PREFERRED:
Masters Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or closely related field from an accredited program.Independent action(s) required:
Oversees and develops various aspects of major or minor events, thoroughly researching and coordinating each item in a creative, efficient and timely manner. Collaborates with external/internal design and/or production firms on creative ideas and design options. Professionally and effectively works with other departments and community groups on pertinent event details to ensure efficient and high-quality events.Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable):
Provides supervision of PR Communications Outreach Coordinator, vendors as well as student workers.Additional position requirements:
After hours project work may be required on evenings and weekends as well as occasional event participation.Age Specific groups served:
