Overview
Strategy and Planning:- Develop comprehensive internal and external communication strategies aligned with bank objectives.- Determine a roadmap for marketing and communications initiatives, monitoring success and proactively seeking opportunities to improve.- Set current and long-term goals for the communications team.Leadership:- Lead and manage the strategic communications team, providing guidance on bank priorities and ensuring the effective delivery of communications.- Cultivate internal relationships to position the communications team as a trusted advisor.- Represent the bank to customer and public audiences, periodically reporting to executive management and/or board of directors.Marketing Partner:- Enhance the bank’s brand and reputation through strategic communication efforts and evaluate and refine brand guidelines for continual improvement.- Plan and execute B2B marketing campaigns to drive confidence as a trusted partner in the financial industry.- Coordinate with internal partners to drive consistent and effective messaging to ensure employees and customers are informed and engaged on bank initiatives.- Support executive leadership with speechwriting, presentations, and other communication needs, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.Content and Writing:- Collaborate with subject matter experts and draft compelling written content reflecting a strong grasp of the bank’s finance and credit functions.- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across written communications and marketing efforts, aligned to the bank’s mission and brand.What You Bring to the Team:Our ideal candidate lives within a commutable distance from our office and appreciates the value of the hybrid work design.- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field; or equivalent related experience.- 5-10 years’ experience in a communications role, with a minimum of 5 years in team management.- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team.- Ability to work onsite in the bank’s Austin office on a regular basis.- Experience in the banking or related financial services industry or a strong finance or investor relations background.
