Advanced degree in public health preferred. Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe software products, and use of online submissions systems and databases required; previous use of Editorial Manager software and Atypon software preferred. At least 2-3 years’ experience editing and producing scholarly journals, including oversight of style and format, copyediting, and proofreading. Familiarity with peer-review processes and protocols preferred. At least 1-2 years' experience with progressive responsibility managing projects to successful and timely completion preferred. Highly organized. Ability to manage time and multiple projects effectively and efficiently. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to work occasional evening and weekend work as job duties or projects require it.Physical Requirements:
Travel to the Annual Meeting is required with other occasional travel possible. Must be able to work occasional evening and weekend work as job duties or projects require it. Requires occasional lifting and moving to 25 lbs.Position is based in downtown DC near several metro stations. Hybrid work environment.Hours: 35 hours a week, full-time, Monday - Friday (daytime).
