AbelCine is a full-service equipment and technology provider supporting the broadcast, production, and new media industries. We offer gear, technical solutions, crewing, and staffing services across these sectors. We currently have a full-time, direct hire opportunity for a Creative Director with one of our clients.
The Role:
You will conceptualize, strategize, and execute innovative, immersive experiences that captivate audiences, enhance brand awareness, and create lasting memories across our client's event programming/platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of consumer behavior, trends, and a proven track record of translating brand objectives into shareable experiences.
The candidate should have an award-winning portfolio and experience in integrated marketing, live-event/experiential production, and brand activation, focusing on creative strategy, concept, and design. This Creative Director will play a key role in shaping, articulating, and selling creative concepts, designing experiences, and delivering design requirements across our client's business units, collaborating with the Events Marketing team and Group Creative Director.
Responsibilities:
- Lead conceptualization and direction of creative campaigns, experiential marketing, and brand activations, including key event appearances and strategic partnerships.
- Develop bold, integrated creative concepts for signature events and sponsorships.
- Create strategic, insight-driven campaigns aligned with business goals, brand voice, and current trends.
- Collaborate with global teams to deliver visuals, experiences, and brand environments.
- Translate creative visions into engaging presentations that convey strategy and execution.
- Inspire and guide teams in idea generation, facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions.
- Use consumer insights and market research to develop compelling, results-driven experiential activations.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years in the creative space.
- 5+ years as a Creative Director or in a similar leadership role, with experience in experiential marketing or activation; ideally 2+ years in-house or on the brand side.
- Strong portfolio of successful experiential campaigns.
- Deep understanding of current experiential marketing trends and consumer behavior.
- Ability to provide overarching creative direction, concepts, and technical execution within scope, scale, and schedule.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Exceptional creative thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience in partnership marketing, translating brand stories into engaging experiences.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and build relationships quickly.
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Autonomous, team-oriented, with excellent leadership skills.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe CC, Figma, and Microsoft Office.
Additional Details:
The role involves physical effort, including prolonged standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Location is on-site in New York, NY (4 days/week on-site, 1 day remote). The position is full-time, with a salary range of $150,000 - $225,000, determined by experience and qualifications. Benefits include PTO, holidays, 401K, healthcare, and more.
