The Washington Times is seeking a general assignment reporter to cover a broad range of topics focusing on cultural issues, trends, features and personalities. The ideal candidate will be able to write enterprise stories on serious cultural and entertainment issues as well as lighter “brites.” The successful candidate will participate in both daily and enterprise coverage of cultural and social issues and trends, their effect on communities, families and the nation. The candidate must have the flexibility to contribute stories outside their regular beat. A strong, fast writer who can quickly file stories to the website and then develop them to give the newspaper’s readers additional insight is mandatory.
