Pitch Labs is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that connects and empowers budding entrepreneurs by providing accessible resources, hosting events, and strategically supporting the building of communities. We are a 100% volunteer-run platform and offer everything business - for free. As it stands right now, obtaining entrepreneurial knowledge can be expensive and seems only available to limited amounts of people. However, millions of entrepreneurs worldwide know that they can make innovations that will change and shape society forever. Pitch Labs is helping young dreamers become doers through our online library, hosting virtual events, and opening clubs in schools to allow entrepreneurs to unlock their skills and do what they are meant to do: create!How this Role ties into Our Mission:

Business reaches every single industry and profession in the world, and that means there are an infinite amount of questions to answer and lessons to teach. As our Internal Communications Manager, you will work cross-functionally and partner with HR/Operations in designing & building out volunteer culture/morale focused initiatives.Qualifications:Located in the United StatesProficient in Google Slides/Docs/Excel, Canva, and creating/designing newsletter email blast MUSTRespond to messaging/emails within 24 hoursA relevant background, deep interest, and/or experience with the responsibilities of the role listed above & a creative knackBe brimming with ideas constantly, Proactive, detail oriented, & EnthusiasticHave a love for research, brainstorming, logistics, culture, DEI, and peopleProficient in written & spoken professional/native English language skillsDuties/Tasks/Responsibilities:Bringing the volunteers in each department together and creating an online community with “buzz” and interaction that affects work days in a positive way, helping us feel more connected and in-tune with our shared mission.Create connection programs to get volunteers more engaged with Pitch Labs & each other, ensure volunteers are informed/engaged/inspired & feel heard/seen.Conduct/create/manage pulse surveys, recognition programs, Great Place To Work initiatives, Volunteer-of-the-Month votes, and the like.Occasionally mocking up/editing & distributing internal documents/presentations decks as well as content creation projects and completing other ad-hoc projects as they arisePost to our #random and #brainfood Discord channels regularlyKeeping Anniversary Date doc updated/added to every monthDoing Day 90 check-ins with newly onboarded volunteers to gather feedbackPlanning quarterly Departmental/team “Chat with the President” meeting, where President would meet with entire departments (not just their Directors) as a group to have a open format Q&APlan, schedule, facilitate, and create agenda(s) for one team All-Hands meeting/bonding event per monthCreate/manage/develop/send internal bi-weekly (every other week) newsletter with updates from every department, events coming up, as well as team progress milestonesTime Commitment:
THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Although this is a volunteer role, given our startup-like functioning, we only seek active volunteers who are energized, ready to engage and make an impact.Please be prepared to contribute at least 8 hours a week for at least the next 6-12 months. As we invest heavily in training each volunteer, we humbly request that if you are unable to meet this time commitment, that you do not proceed with our application further. All volunteers must attend their department’s team meeting or 1-1 meeting every week. We enforce a 24 hour response policy to promote a smooth workflow and mindfulness towards ongoing projects/deadlines that team members are working on.We are able to accommodate volunteers who need time off for exams, work, family events, etc as long as these commitments are appropriately conveyed as soon as possible.Benefits:
