Position: Marketing Specialist – Experience in Medical Device Industry and Infusion Systems Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 8 Months Total Hours/Week: 40.00 Shift: 1 st Client: Medical Devices Company Job Category: Marketing Level of Experience: Entry Level Employment Type: Contract on W2 (US Citizens, GC Holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, CPT) Job Description: The BD Alaris Infusion System, along with its supporting software solutions, is a leading global IV infusion smart pump brand with a significant presence in the US and internationally. Under the guidance of a Group Marketing Manager and collaborating with cross-functional teams and regional partners, the Product Manager will support the growth of the Alaris platform through upstream marketing activities, focusing on innovation and expansion, especially related to software solutions. Primary Job Responsibilities: Serve as a subject matter expert for core teams, downstream marketing, and regions. Lead software projects by executing QMS and GPDS deliverables, and communicate customer and patient needs. Drive product enhancements, integrations, and ensure continuity for the on-market portfolio. Help define the portfolio strategy and roadmap for the infusion platform. Identify, prioritize, and communicate unmet needs through voice of customer and other inputs. Develop global launch and commercialization plans to support downstream launch excellence. Conduct market research to assess global market opportunities, product concepts, and value propositions. Create evidence generation plans to support differentiated messaging. Build financial models and market assessments to communicate project revenue. Utilize data analytics to inform commercial strategies. Create and deliver impactful presentations for teams and leadership. Promote a positive team culture. Demonstrate leadership within the Marketing department to promote best practices. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. At least five years of experience in marketing, product management, or related fields within the medical device sector or similar. Sales experience is considered; upstream marketing experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and strong communication skills. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%) and adapt to different time zones. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to analyze problems, collect data, and draw conclusions in ambiguous environments. Proven success in influencing stakeholders without direct authority. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with connected, integrated clinical software solutions. Understanding of medical device development processes and phases. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
