Grant Thornton is re-imagining its Communications function to 1) support the business and anchor in the CEO’s and organization’s key priorities; 2) deliver on a global scale with greater efficiency, quality and operational rigor; and 3) broaden the scope of the core team through new capabilities and competencies including M&A, investor relations, issues management, change enablement and tech integration, such as AI tools and other resources. The Creative Content Senior Associate will report to the Center of Excellence (COE) Manager and provide support to Business Communications team, primarily focused on leveraging internal and external communications for dynamic storytelling through visual content. The role will serve in support of the CEO, executive team and all communications activities for communications programming, both internally and externally. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, manage and enhance the appropriate mix of multimedia content in support of communications focused initiatives, both internal and external. Leverage digital tools and technology to produce contemporary and authentic creative content that connects with teammates and stakeholders. Develop, write and produce story ideas and scripts, and adapt them into content that can be consumed via two-way communications. Write and manage production of a wide range of communications materials and activities including communications plans, presentations, print and electronic publications, videos and firmwide events. Apply creativity, innovative approaches, and a global mindset to presenting leaders in a transparent way, incorporating celebratory, informational and educational messaging to ensure stakeholders perspectives are factored into messaging. Provide strategic creative counsel to leadership and internal clients. Support scripting, production and coordination for team calls, large and small, as well as firmwide events. Support delivery of briefing packets, talking points, Q&A and other key materials to help with executive prep and readiness for people engagement. Maintain and deliver operational excellence, implementing and constantly enhancing processes, procedures and protocols that keep tasks on or ahead of schedule. Support and execute proactive project engagement plans that demonstrates A-Z thinking and ensure optimal outcomes and success. Work across internal and external communications workstreams and collaborate heavily with culture and change enablement teammates for enterprise view of program recommendations and outcomes. Collaborate across communications and with key functions including Marketing, P&C, Knowledge Management, other internal groups and outside vendors, to ensure integration and message consistency. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND IMPACT
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, English, Project Management or other related major. Minimum of 5 years of experience as communications professional with current track record of breakthrough communications strategy, operations and measurable results. Demonstrated success in project-managing communications initiatives from conception to execution and evaluation. Accomplished creative/news writing and editing experience is critical. Comfort around executive leadership. Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed environment and perform under pressure. Ability to quickly grasp complex subject matter into accessible, useful content. Proven ability to adapt writing style to various online and print materials. Strong examples of social media management, managing production of digital technologies to build awareness and engagement including but not limited to intranet content, video animations, audio recordings and podcasts. Strong communications research skills, and ability to rapidly research, analyze and integrate diverse information from varied sources. Tech-savvy and ability to leverage tools and technology to foster efficiencies (e.g., MS Office Suite, Smartsheet, Copilot, other AI). Budget management, vendor oversight, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to travel 30 percent of the time. The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Chicago, IL office only is between $72,000 and $108,000 per year. The base salary range for this position in the firm’s New York, NY office only is between $77,800 and $116,600 per year.
