The Rescue Mission Alliance is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to serving trafficked, homeless and addicted individuals in Southern California through emergency and long-term rehabilitation services. With over 52 years of experience, the organization has expanded from its first location in Oxnard to multiple locations across four counties. The Rescue Mission Alliance offers a full range of care to address the needs of the hungry, homeless, and destitute. While Christ-centered, it collaborates with local churches, counties, cities and private organizations to help with spiritual nurturing and discipleship for program participants and transient guests.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Grant Writer based in Oxnard, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching and identifying potential grant opportunities, writing and submitting grant proposals, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. The role also involves collaborating with staff to gather necessary information, maintaining a calendar of deadlines, and reporting on the status of grant applications.
Qualifications
- Grant writing, proposal writing, and research skills
- Experience with budget preparation and financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in using grant management software is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or experience
