Description
The Division of Fine and Performing Arts at Methodist University seeks adjunct art and graphic design professors for the 2023-2024 academic year. Courses could include:
- Fall, 2023
- Design Production
- Imaging/Graphic Design I
- 3D Design
- Survey of Art History I
- Renaissance & Baroque Art History
- Spring, 2024
- Relief Printmaking
- Survey of Art History II
- 19th and 20th Century Art History
- Graphic Design Studio IV

Qualifications
All successful candidates will have a Master’s Degree in art or graphic design and experience teaching in any of the above areas. Adjunct professors may teach between one and three courses per semester; each course is three credit hours, although some may require more contact time.
For those interested in teaching in the Graphic Design program, preference will be given to those with Adobe Creative Cloud experience – specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Industry experience will also be considered. Photography experience is a plus!
For those interested in teaching in the Art program, preference will be given to those with experience in Sculpture/3D Design, Drawing, and Printmaking. Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus!
