Job Description

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing social media, creating graphic design and video content, and supporting digital and print marketing initiatives. The position collaborates with various departments to promote the college's brand, engage the community, and support enrollment and outreach efforts.
- This position may have occasional travel between campuses and for training. Occasional after hours may be required.
- While most work is conducted on-site, the position may be eligible for limited teleworking based on departmental needs and approval.
Graphic Design
- Graphic Design: Design marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, digital ads, and other visual assets that align with the college's brand.
- Template Development: Create and maintain templates for commonly used materials to ensure consistency and efficiency in design processes.
- Visual Branding Support: Collaborate with the graphic designer to create cohesive marketing materials.
- Social Media Management: Develop, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms, including videos and graphics, to drive engagement and reach.
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with online communities and respond to inquiries or comments to enhance the college's digital presence.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor performance metrics for social media.
- Photography: Capture high-quality images for a wide range of uses, including digital platforms and print materials.
- Video Production: Plan, film, edit, and produce engaging video content for campaigns, testimonials, events, and social media platforms.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with the team to integrate multimedia elements into broader marketing campaigns.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance to staff on using multimedia tools and platforms.

Required educational background:
- An Associate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in marketing, social media management, graphic design, video production, or a related field, OR a combination of education and experience.
- Strong skills in graphic design, photography, and video production, including software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro)
- Proficiency in social media platforms, content creation, and engagement strategies
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- Valid driver's license required for travel within the college's service area to events and activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
- More than three (3) years of experience in marketing, social media management, graphic design, or video production, preferably in a higher education setting.
