As Estimator, you'll play a key role in the early stages of every custom project by developing detailed, accurate, and timely cost estimates for:
Large-format graphics (e.g., wall murals, window films, signage) Custom printed substrates (vinyl, clear films, specialty materials) Commercial installations in healthcare, education, and hospitality spaces Your Accountabilities in the Role:
Review quote requests, artwork, specs, and layouts from the Sales and Art departments Analyze production steps, materials, and timelines to generate cost-effective estimates Create layouts to determine the most efficient run method and substrate use Account for labor, shipping, handling, and markups Ensure alignment with project budgets and profit goals Provide internal documentation and job packets for Production Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve scope or materials questions Conduct periodic cost studies to maintain pricing accuracy and efficiency Position Requirements:
2+ years of estimating or quoting experience in a commercial printing, large-format graphics, or signage environment Strong understanding of substrates, print methods, and production workflows Comfortable reading and interpreting proofs, job specs, and design layouts (not blueprints) Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Illustrator or similar tools Solid math, organizational, and time-management skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Attention to color, material quality, and design detail Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams. Other Important Information:
Pay/Salary : Hourly position based on skills
And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!
Reports To:
VP of Business Operations & Sales
Core Hours:
8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Typical Work Week:
M-F; 40 - 42 hours a week on average during peak times.
Direct Reports:
None
Travel:
Limited; less than 5%
Work/Environment:
Normal office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing area. Requires good vision with ability to see colors.
