This opportunity involves assisting the assigned department by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design, and delivery on assigned project(s). Leverages technical knowledge to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs. Develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software. What You'll Do

Verify the accuracy of drawings, compatibility of work across disciplines, and check detail and quantity calculations. Calculate design data, prepare layouts, detailed specifications, estimates, reports, etc. Assist in preparing engineering studies and evaluations involved in project development from initial concept to design stage, with support from the project engineer/architect. Attend project and pre-construction meetings and provide input to ensure proper policies, procedures, and specifications are followed. Resolve technical design problems, which may include field investigations or inspections, detailed design work, and data analysis. Maintain complex project plans and lead teams of junior technicians and engineers. Calculate quantities and perform engineering-related computations. Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree in Drafting or related field and 8 years of relevant experience, or In lieu of education, 10 years of related experience. What You'll Bring

Ability to work effectively and collaborate with clients and subcontractors. Ability to produce comprehensive plans from minimal design sketches with minimal supervision. Proficiency in CADD Design software such as Power Inroads ss2, Power Geopak ss2, Microstation v8i ss10 or later, Connect Open Bridge Modeler, Connect Open Roads Designer, and/or Connect Open Bridge Designer. Knowledge of bridge design and drafting terminology, including bridge and railroad detailing practices, rebar, and quantity calculations. Clear communication skills for discussing design with team members. What We Prefer

Good time management skills. Effective communication skills, including remote collaboration and training. Experience with 3D modeling. Leadership skills. Familiarity with bridge engineering practices. Additional Information:
