is looking to fill a
Remote Principal Design Drafting Technician
position that just opened. In this role you'll perform detailed design and documentation of mechanical components or subsystems, by producing two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) CAD work product output for fabrication and assembly. To be considered, you will have an Associate's Degree or similar plus 7+ years of relevant experience. You must also be a US Citizen.

Overview:While providing leadership to a team of drafters, the Senior Advanced Design Drafting Technician will perform detailed design and documentation of mechanical components or subsystems, by producing two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) CAD work product output for fabrication and assembly. We will seek your counsel on determining scale, inserting necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning along with preparing specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations. You'll prepare complete production detail drawings and contribute design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
Requirements:An Associate's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceDistinct knowledge of material requirements, fabrication techniques, and manufacturability conceptsExperienced in the use of current strategic CAD tools; Cadence OrCAD or Cadence Allegro is strongly desiredDesign and layout high-density multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-standard CAD toolsSolid understanding of simple mechanical stress; structural, thermal and tolerance analysis
