Key Responsibilities:A/V Equipment Management:
Assist with the delivery, installation, operation, and retrieval of A/V equipment for meetings, events, and class setups as per the reservation calendar and just-in-time requests.Systems Operation:
Operate integrated A/V systems, including video conferencing, projection, audio, video recording, playback, and remote-control devices.Event Coordination:
Support the coordination of A/V needs for university events, interacting with vendors and facility staff as needed.Video Production:
Operate video cameras to record programs and events; perform video and audio duplication, including media labeling and documentation.Technology Implementation:
Assist in implementing new technologies, equipment, and network services related to video conferencing and A/V services across the university.Troubleshooting:
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve A/V equipment and connectivity issues promptly.Inventory Management:
Maintain a thorough inventory of A/V equipment and supplies, monitor repair needs, and manage the replacement of non-working, damaged, or obsolete equipment.Web Conferencing:
Schedule, launch, and troubleshoot web conferencing applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Technical Proficiency:
Ability to set up, interconnect, and operate a wide range of A/V equipment, including LCD projectors, screens, DVD-VHS decks, video switchers, document cameras, and computers.Network Troubleshooting:
Competence in troubleshooting network connectivity issues and integrating meetings with web and audio conferencing.A/V Equipment Operation:
Skilled in setting up, interconnecting, and operating video and audio equipment, including digital video cameras, audio tape decks, audio mixers, microphones, and public address systems.Media Duplication:
Capability to perform all functions related to DVD, VHS, DVCam, and audio tape duplication, including basic editing and accurate media labeling.Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.Learning Orientation:
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new A/V systems and technologies.
