PAY RATE:
$16.69/hr- $19.34/hr.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Assists in all marketing and communications department efforts, including but not limited to content placement and dissemination of emerging and electronic media. Provides support for external and internal communications, copywriting and the creation and management of HART's blog as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Strategize, develop, manage and analyze content and data for HART and The TECO Line Streetcar System Social Media accounts as assigned. Develops digital content for agency platforms including graphics and videos Support agency with photography and videography related projects as assigned. Assist department with strategic development, coordination and execution of Marketing initiatives and promotions. Contribute to the execution of HART's marketing and brand strategy, which ensures consistent branding, messaging, and positioning for the agency. Assist with the management of agency communications channels and media, including social media, visual assets, public/media relations, email campaigns, advertising, and events. Supports the department with copywriting and production for TV and radio commercials, and print advertisements Assist with the planning and implementation of special events for the organization. Supports written communications by proofreading editing as requested. Assist with other related marketing and media relations activities as assigned. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education (GED) required. Currently attending college pursuing a degree in public relations, marketing, business, communications or related field. Proven people skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates professional demeanor while representing organization. Cooperative attitude with team-oriented disposition. Proficient computer skills (MS Office proficiency). Available to work a part-time schedule primarily during traditional business week hours. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Machines, Tools, & Equipment Used:
Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems, as well as a computer for both data entry, word processing, and/or accounting purposes. Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Driver's License or be able to obtain one within in 10 days of hire. QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in video production (primarily short form) and video editing Knowledge of content marketing best practices and experience creating content for websites, social media, and SEO. Ability to work under stress. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Knowledge and understanding of current trends in marketing. Knowledge of Adobe Creative. Ability to work in a timely fashion on multiple concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions. Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines. High level of creativity, visual savvy, and attention to detail. Ability to interact positively with a variety of personalities internally and externally. Analytical/problem solving ability. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to meet attendance and punctuality requirements. Ability to be a flexible, effective team player. Ability to work under stress and with numerous interruptions. Ability to follow directives, work independently with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgement, oversee project activities and achieve program directives. Ability to prepare and edit clear and concise written reports. Excellent command of the English language. Standard office practices, procedures and equipment Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Work is performed in a standard office environment. Work is occasionally performed in an outdoor environment or in the community. Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds. May be exposed to individuals who are rude or irate.
