Job Title: Long-Term Substitute Library Teacher
Location: Queen of Apostles Catholic School, West Alexandria, VA

Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Teach elementary-level students in various subjects, including but not limited to, mathematics, reading, writing, science, and social studies, integrating faith and Christian morals into the curriculum.
- Faith Formation: Incorporate Catholic teachings into daily lessons and classroom activities, guiding students in prayer and developing their relationship with Christ.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment, maintaining discipline and fostering a love for learning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, staff, and school leadership to implement school-wide initiatives and support students' academic and spiritual development.
- Parental Involvement: Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements, fostering a strong partnership between home and school.
- Professional Growth: Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with educational trends, best practices, and Catholic education principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Teaching certification (preferred) or a willingness to pursue certification.
- Strong commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Queen of Apostles.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a Catholic school setting.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
