Role Overview The Director of Sales, Events, and Marketing oversees the Sales and Event operations of the hotel. Responsibilities include managing the Sales, Marketing, and Events Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, developing business plans, and participating in ownership meetings. The role also involves developing and implementing strategies across sales, catering, and marketing channels to meet revenue goals and enhance market share.
This position leads sales and event managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff. It involves recruiting, hiring, training, managing, and coaching staff to meet company goals and maximize revenues. The director manages contractual agreements, rate quoting, referrals, and account management for retention, reactivation, and acquisition. The role reports directly to the General Manager, with oversight from the Regional Vice President of Sales and Events.

Qualifications Relevant experience in Sales, Marketing, and Event Services Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds Strong presentation skills Caring leadership that builds trust and engagement Innovative thinking to challenge and improve business processes Creativity and strategic thinking in marketing and social media management Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Organizational and time management skills Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet Experience with sales and revenue management systems Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed
