To learn more about our exciting organization, please visit us at . We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our team and support our proposal operations in Herndon, VA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as thought leader for technical proposals, articulating solutions developed in conjunction with technical SMEs and delivery leadership, to increase efficiency and productivity in developing technical proposals. Write to solicitation requirements in collaboration with other proposal team members, under the leadership of the proposal manager. Ensure alignment of technical solutions with management sections, corporate experience, and past performance Gain deep understanding of Unissant's products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content. Consult relevant information sources, including proposal library resources, technical documents, client and project personnel, to obtain background information and verify pertinent guidelines governing proposal deliverables. Partner with stakeholders to develop content in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with proposal, technical, delivery, and executive teams. Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success. Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for maturing and improving knowledge management of possible solutions. Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with internal and external partners for optimized proposal development and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations. Create and maintain proposal content documentation. Communicate ideas and viewpoints to senior management. Design and implement process improvements. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners. Monitor and report on the progress of multiple projects. Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards. Work Experience and Job Skills: High proficiency with minimum 5+ years of experience in Technical Writing. Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in proposal content and graphics. Experience working with technical and delivery teams to refine content and create graphics. Proficiency in advanced technical concepts such as DevOps, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud architecture, and software development. Understanding of cloud operations, various software tools such as but not limited to Oracle, Databricks, Snowflake, COTS products such as Salesforce, ServiceNow etc. Knowledge of bleeding edge technical ideas including but not limited to Quantum Computing. Experience with various Government SDLC methodologies including Agile, SAFe, Extreme, etc. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of MS Teams/SharePoint highly desirable. Highly organized and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and leadership skills, with an ability to translate inputs into actionable content. Education: Bachelor's degree is required. Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: N/A. Communication Skills: Solid ability to interface, inspire, and motivate at various levels of the organization. Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals. Enthusiastic, proactive, positive attitude with good listening skills and high integrity. Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity. Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations. Location: Hybrid position in Herndon, VA Environmental Requirements: Mainly sedentary; in an office environment May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds. Flexible in working extended hours.
