What the role is
We’re looking for a writer who loves to turn smart thinking into creative storytelling. A left and right brain thinker. A fantastic presenter and communicator. Someone eager to work with brands across every industry—from tech to CPG to retail to B2B.
Our Senior Writer is responsible for owning client and new business verbal workstreams, as part of a collaborative team of Strategy, Design, Client Experience and New Business colleagues.
A strong candidate will have experience in the branding world, leading voice, messaging, tagline, and content creation across a variety of categories. Experience with naming and nomenclature projects is a welcome bonus. As a Senior Writer at FutureBrand, you’ll:
- Lead the development and presentation of brand voice, messaging, brand narratives, taglines, content, creative workshops and verbal trainings
- Collaborate effectively with strategy and design to articulate positioning and brand personality traits
- Contribute to the development and creative expansion of FutureBrand’s verbal practice in partnership with existing teammates
- Contribute to our culture by being inclusive of diverse perspectives and styles
What it requires
Experience
- A writing background with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience in strategic communications, creative writing, marketing communications or advertising. Brand consultancy experience preferred but not required
- Experience creating brand voice, messaging, taglines and content
- Experience presenting and selling in solutions to executive-level clients, leading workshops and conducting verbal training sessions
- Work samples highlighting your ability to flex writing styles across different tones of voice—adapting for client, audience, and context

- Ability to articulate a clear and focused point of view
- Creative problem-solver at heart (and in action)
- Ability to conceptualize, structure and present compelling narratives, and field questions/ challenges with confidence
- Driven to take initiative and demonstrate ownership of projects
- Attention to detail with exceptional editing and proofing skills
- Emerging leadership skills that translate positively in a collaborative, dynamic environment
COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $125,000 (Annual)
