Summary
As a Fiber Design Intern, you will be utilizing ESRI tools such as ArcGIS and other GIS software to assisting in completing detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specifications, and written/verbal instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssists in completing detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specifications and written/verbal instructions using computer-aided drafting programs.Assists in revising or changings drawingsAssists in developing detailed drawings of structures and installations such as buildings, roads, culverts, fresh water supply, sewage disposal systems, and dikes.May accompany survey crew or field technicians as needed in order to locate grading markers, collect data required for revision of construction drawings, and/or perform engineering tests.May assist in field checks, including the collection of GPS data, as necessary to verify line locations for new and existing facilities. Remedies, under close supervision, any GPS/GIS errors prior to transfer to mapping system.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEPursuing a certificate program, associate's degree (A. A.), bachelor's degree or equivalent from two-year, four year or technical schoolMust possess basic skills in specific software such as ESRI ArcGIS
Compensation
$15-26/hr
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and California's SB 1162. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate, after a qualifying period, in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).
