We’re seeking a Senior Event Planner to lead the charge in executing high-profile, large-scale events that elevate our brand as a National Solutions Provider. In this pivotal role, you’ll take the reins on planning major events that engage C-level executives and showcase our innovative solutions. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of event planning for large-scale events with higher budgets, hosting CIO level and internal/external executive attendees.
- Lead execution and planning of customer-facing events such as Technology Summits and Tradeshows.
- Assist the Events Director in researching innovative event tactics and planning for large corporate events.
- Coordinate with other departments and vendors across the event lifecycle.
- Propose new ideas to streamline processes and develop policies related to meetings and events.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define event objectives, including budgeting and venue selection.
- Manage event collateral, including promotional materials, invitations, registration, and print collateral.
- Serve as team lead in the absence of the Events Director, mentor team members, and onboard new hires.
- Document procedures and update training resources.
- Attend events to ensure customer satisfaction and coordinate last-minute modifications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Event Planning, Marketing, or Business with at least 6 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Event Management Software for registration, reporting, and budgeting.
- Attention to detail in professional communications and materials.
- Negotiation skills for securing favorable purchasing agreements.
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent process and project management skills.
- Experience in event planning and hospitality logistics.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and multitask effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment.
- Perceptive and good listener, able to understand others’ needs.
