UI/UX Designer – Hybrid (Franklin, TN)
Full-Time | Hybrid Onsite/Remote | Direct Hire with Our Client
GSD Search is partnering with a leading technology provider in the automotive industry to hire a UI/UX Designer for a full-time, hybrid role based in Franklin, TN. This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client. The ideal candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Senior Leadership, and cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered designs that support product goals and enhance user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Collaborate regularly with business stakeholders, end users, product owners, and developers
- Present ideas and designs to internal teams and stakeholders
- Create storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to communicate design ideas
- Design interface elements such as menus, tabs, widgets, and navigation components
- Build UI mockups and prototypes to illustrate functionality and design
- Iterate on layouts based on user feedback
- Conduct experiments and analyze data using tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar
- Maintain consistent style guides across products
- Enhance current features and design new ones within existing platforms
- Conduct usability testing and present findings to product teams
- Track and measure usability goals and iterate based on metrics
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in UI/UX Design, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s a plus)
- 2+ years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma (or similar)
- Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) to drive design
- Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams
- Strong interest in understanding user motivations and behaviors
- Ability to combine design theory, research insights, and business goals to create engaging user experiences
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for user and stakeholder interaction
- Experience in Agile environments is a plus
- Experience in the automotive or remarketing industry is a plus
