Senior Technical Editor
Location: Tampa, FL (On-site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $71,347 – $89,184 annually

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Editor to lead the editing and coordination of technical publications and accredited international standards. This role ensures the production of high-quality documents that meet internal guidelines, industry standards, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the editing and proofreading of technical publications for grammar, style, consistency, and accuracy.

• Coordinate publication timelines, production processes, and content revisions.

• Facilitate editorial reviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), including virtual and in-person sessions.

• Serve as a liaison between authors, designers, illustrators, and external vendors.

• Maintain content management systems and provide first-line technical support.

• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., ANSI) and update internal editorial guidelines.

• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to align visual and written content.

Qualifications:
Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 2 years of experience in technical writing or editing.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with CMS platforms.

• Excellent editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Engineering, or related field.

• Experience working with technical publications or standards.

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator).

• Experience with associations or nonprofit organizations.

Additional Details:

• Minimal travel (0–5%).

• Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for virtual editorial reviews.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to train and support others.
