Overview
Material Receiving & Expediting:
Secure correct workflow receiving of materials in Crane/DBS and assist in locating materials.
Expedite receipts for critical materials, ensuring timely entry into SAP via the Hot Sheet process.
Provide ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) creation support for materials not loaded by suppliers.
Ensure ASN data integrity updates based on supplier uploads and responses.
Data Management & System Updates:
Maintain Crane & DBS Item Master with accurate and timely data.
Utilize warehouse reports to obtain accurate ASN information.
Assist in maintaining accurate commit dates for open purchase orders in SAP.
Provide suppliers with weekly open order reports to ensure accuracy.
Support buyers with information about delivered materials.
Occasionally input purchase orders as directed by Planner/Buyers.
Supplier & Inventory Coordination:
Work with suppliers to obtain commit dates and update SAP accordingly.
Resolve receiving and QC issues by gathering problem data and securing RMA authorizations.
Compliance & Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who will you report to?
Typically reports to Procurement Manager or Supply Chain Manager.
How will you get here? Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in procurement, expediting, or supply chain support preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong data entry, reporting, and administrative skills.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, suppliers, and customers.
Proficiency in Windows-based operating systems and Jabil’s software packages.
Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish solutions.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and reports.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Work Environment:
Office setting with regular interaction with buyers, suppliers, and warehouse teams.
Occasional visits to the manufacturing floor or warehouse may be required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Close vision required for computer work and reviewing documentation.
