Position Summary/General Description:
The Graphic Designer supports helps design and produces printed materials for the Rio Puerco Campus.

Design and produce advertisements, billboards, internal/external signage, direct mail, collateral, logos, and other branding projects as needed.Assist with in-house and external production (e.g., file re-sizing; file preparation; print production and finishing; photography touch up; file distribution; and designing, refreshing and updating websites).Maintain consistency of graphics and copy in all design projects.Produce and finish signage and other print materials on in-house printer.Maintain creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.Be responsive to new ideas and influences, and quickly react to changing trends.Formulate and design fresh and innovative concepts with a minimum of guidance.Plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communications problems.Maintain knowledge of software and learn upgrades as needed.Maintain thorough understanding of graphic design.Maintain exceptional attention to detail in proofing and file preparation.Work under pressure.Maintain self-discipline to start projects, budget time, and to meet deadlines and production schedules.Work with manager to fulfill advertising, web and production needs of the company on a daily basis.Design unique and creative promotions for the casino, nightclub, entertainment and restaurant on the monthly basis.Develop concepts for other in-house special projects as determined by manager.Assist with traffic of files to advertising agency, printers, media, web programmers and in-house vendors and teams.Maintain positive and professional relationships with printers, photographers, photo stock houses, production artists and other related vendors.Organize and maintain company design assets, including files, distribution of logos and archiving.Maintain excellent grammar, spelling and attention to detail.Maintain exceptional understanding of promotional collateral, company signage, outdoor boards, direct mail, brochures, logo development, newspaper and magazine ads.Maintain exceptional, problem solving, organization and communication skills.Listen and perform to creative direction.Handle multiple projects on a daily basis.At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., clients and vendors).Must be a team player.Take ownership of projects assigned from start to finish.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Arts/Design from an accredited university is preferred.Three years’ experience working as a Graphic Designer is preferred.Must have good knowledge of pre-press layout requirements and print production.Must understand fundamental design principles such as color theory, layout and typography.Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Proficient with basic office equipment (e.g., computer, photocopying and faxing).Proficient using digital cameras & scanners.Mastery of the following software: Adobe Creative Suite, In Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator.Proficient with Dreamweaver and Flash.Must provide portfolio of work upon interview and perform design assignment to assess capabilities.In house printerEssential Physical Requirements:
Requires employee to hear, sit, see, talk, walk and repetitively use hands the majority of the time.Requires employee to occasionally bend, crouch/stoop, stand, and turn/twist.Requires employee to occasionally push/pull, carry, lift, and slide/transfer 1-25 lbs.Essential Mental Demands:
