Job Title: Technical Writer

Duration: 8 Months

M-F, 8AM - 5PM

Job Description:

• Associates required (additional years of experience may compensate for lack of AA)
• 1-3 years experience as a Technical writer (manufacturing industry preferred)
• This position will not be long term. This start-up site needs assistance with creating documentation: SOP's and technical processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, edit, and format technical documentation including process manuals, system specifications, guideline documents, and procedure manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to gather and interpret documentation needs.
• Standardize content across platforms and media for consistency and clarity.
• Review and edit existing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Work closely with project teams to understand product details and develop appropriate content.
• Translate complex technical terminologies into user-friendly language.
• Conduct periodic reviews and revisions to ensure updates are captured accurately.

Education & Experience:

• Associate degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field, or current enrollment in such programs.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role in a technical field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation.
• Proficient in MS Office and documentation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with cross-functional teams.

Interview process: Phone screen / Teams meeting with hiring manager, followed by in-person onsite interview with a panel.
