Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Designer to join our apparel design team. The Tech Design Manager will be responsible for managing the technical design process for our apparel products, ensuring that they meet quality standards, fit specifications, and design requirements.Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the technical design process for apparel products from concept to production.Collaborate with design, product development, and production teams to ensure that product designs are technically feasible and meet quality standards.Create and maintain technical specification packages for all apparel products, including detailed measurements, construction details, and fit requirements.Conduct fit sessions and provide feedback to design and production teams to ensure that products meet fit and quality standards.Review and approve samples and prototypes to ensure they meet design and quality requirements.Identify and resolve technical design issues during product development to ensure timely delivery of products.Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical design to continuously improve processes and product quality.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Engineering, or related field.7+ years of experience.Proven experience in technical design for apparel products, with a focus on fit, construction, and quality.Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and fit requirements.Experience with technical design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Gerber Technology).Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Leadership skills to manage a team of technical designers and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications:
