We're committed to helping you reach your professional milestones.License & Experience:We are currently searching for a Central Authorization Specialist. This position requires great customer service skills as well as the ability to multitask. Ideal candidates will enjoy working as part of a team environment, have a love of working with people, and have good organizational and communication skills. Some medical experience is preferred.The Central Authorization Specialist is responsible for:Authorization submission and status updates. Works and enters all submissions. These must besubmitted/requested within 3 Days of DOS; not to exceed 5 days.Communicates with the Lead OCs of any changes, updates or needs of each o?ce to obtainauthorizations. Noti?es leads OCs immediately of accounts that need immediate attention to completeauthorizations.Works closely with the Lead OCs to appeal insurance companies if we received any denials onauthorization. Works with Lead OCs to set up peer to peer reviews and makes sure these arescheduled and done timely.Adds patients names to the Medicare Cap Spreadsheet for those that need Medicare Cap reviewUpdates authorization tracking sheet with submissions and communities with our contractauthorization submitters to work collectively and e?ciently on authorization submissions.Noti?es lead OCs and billing if authorizations are being missed due to the o?ce not providingdocumentation needed to submit authorization within the time limits above.Liaison for other submission personnel and continue training.
