Job Purpose As part of Komatsu’s UX Design team, you will support the entire design process to create an exemplary user experience tailored to customer needs. You will analyze user behavior and stakeholder requirements to design useful, usable, and desirable solutions, contribute to design reviews, and test your concepts with end users. You will also contribute to the design system and collaborate with business partners to promote a human-centered design culture. Travel Requirements Some domestic and international travel is required for meetings and project collaboration. Job Duties And Responsibilities Plan, conduct, and analyze user research such as interviews, ethnography, and expert reviews. Create design artifacts like personas, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and specifications. Communicate design intent using tools like Figma. Manage small to medium UX projects independently. Test and evaluate design solutions with users, analyze feedback, and iterate. Coordinate with product managers and developers to implement designs. Mentor junior designers and collaborate with senior team members. Apply UI best practices considering usability, learnability, localization, and internationalization. Manage UX project timelines and priorities. Required Skills Degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or related field. 3+ years of experience in UX, Product, or Interaction Design. Experience with user research and usability testing. Proficiency in design tools like Figma. Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Willingness to learn and accept feedback. Good time and project management skills. Desired Skills Proactive work approach. Experience contributing to design systems. Knowledge of motion design and animation. Understanding of Human Factors principles. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Experience designing for high-risk environments. Multilingual abilities.
