The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for overseeing and executing the overall marketing strategy for the company. This includes shaping the company's brand positioning, digital marketing strategy, customer acquisition, lead generation, and customer retention efforts. The CMO will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and customer success, to create integrated marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences in the e-commerce space. Key Responsibilities : Strategic Marketing Leadership :
Lead the development and execution of the company’s overall marketing strategy to drive brand growth, revenue, and market share Define and manage the company's positioning, messaging, and value proposition in the e-commerce application development space Guide the team in aligning marketing initiatives with company goals, sales strategies, and product development
Brand Development & Awareness :
Oversee the creation of brand assets, messaging frameworks, and integrated campaigns that effectively communicate the company’s mission, vision, and solutions Establish a strong brand presence in relevant markets and channels, including digital, content, and events Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, adjusting marketing strategies to maintain a competitive edge Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, content marketing, social media, and paid advertising campaigns Optimize the user acquisition funnel for improved conversion rates and customer lifetime value Drive high-quality lead generation through various channels and ensure a seamless transition from lead capture to sales conversion Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing marketing team Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability within the marketing department Ensure team members are equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and training to succeed
Customer & Market Insights :
Utilize data and analytics to understand customer behaviors, pain points, and needs in the e-commerce space Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities Leverage insights to optimize marketing efforts, product development, and customer experiences
Partnerships & Alliances :
Collaborate with strategic partners, influencers, and thought leaders in the e-commerce and tech industry to elevate the company’s market presence Identify new partnership opportunities to enhance marketing efforts and expand reach
Budget Management & ROI :
Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across key initiatives Analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI) Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment between marketing and sales efforts, optimizing the lead handoff process and nurturing prospects through the sales funnel Develop sales enablement tools to support the sales team and increase conversion rates
Required Qualifications : Experience : Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing leadership roles, with at least 5 years in e-commerce, SaaS, or technology-driven companies Expertise : Strong background in digital marketing, growth hacking, customer acquisition, and brand management in the e-commerce space Leadership : Proven experience leading and scaling marketing teams, with a focus on talent development, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration Strategy : Deep understanding of data-driven marketing, brand strategy, and customer-centric approaches to marketing Tech-Savvy : Familiarity with marketing technologies, including CRM, analytics tools, automation platforms, and e-commerce platforms Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field Please email your resume to operations@southbridge.ai Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
