As a Marketing Director, you will play a vital role in maximizing sales and profitability by effectively managing our ever-growing online product assortment. In this role, your primary task will be to lead the team that curates and optimize product listings, ensure accurate and compelling product information, and implement effective merchandising strategies, drive marketing efforts and increase online sales and enhance customer engagement and experience. Further, you aid in the creation and strategic development of content, marketing campaigns and social presence. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep experience and understanding of the motorcycle and aftermarket powersports industry.Responsibilities:Strategy Development:Develop and implement a robust e-commerce marketing and merchandizing strategy to drive sales growth and improve customer experience.Set measurable KPIs to track and adjust the strategy continuously.Manage and mentor a team of marketing and merchandising professionals.Product Curation:Lead the team to select, categorize, and curate products for online sales based on market trends, customer preferences, and sales data.Conduct regular research on industry trends to identify new product opportunities.Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to source and introduce new products into the online catalog.Product Listing Optimization:Lead the team that creates and updates product listings, ensuring accurate and compelling product descriptions, specifications, and images.Optimize product listings for search engine visibility, ensuring relevant keywords, meta tags, and other SEO elements are incorporated.Conduct A/B testing and analyze data to improve conversion rates and overall product performance.Pricing and Promotions:Analyze pricing strategies, market trends, and competitor pricing to determine optimal pricing for products.Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns, discounts, and special offers.Monitor the effectiveness of pricing and promotional strategies and make adjustments as needed.Data Analysis and Reporting:Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, conversion rates, and average order value to identify areas for improvement.Generate regular reports on sales performance, product trends, and customer behavior, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.User Experience and Site Merchandising:Collaborate with the web design and user experience teams to optimize the online shopping experience.Implement effective site merchandising strategies, including cross-selling, upselling, and product recommendations.Continuously monitor and enhance the website's navigation, search functionality, and overall usability.Content Creation:Collaborate with videographers, photographers, marketing professionals and influencers to create content for use in product detail pages and various marketing efforts.Lead the marketing and merchandizing team to optimize existing product offerings, as well as new products.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).3 years minimum experience as an E-commerce Manager/Director or similar role in an online retail environment.5 years minimum experience in the motorcycle, aftermarket powersports or aftermarket automotive industry.Proven track record of driving e-commerce sales growth and brand recognition.Strong understanding of Shopify E-commerce platform, product data management systems, and online merchandising best practices.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Solid understanding of SEO, SEM, CMS, CRM principles and experience with optimizing product listings for search engines.Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.Strong organizational and time management skills.Basic photography and photo editing skills (Photoshop or equivalent program)Cooperative and willing to work in a team environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Excel and Word.Proficiency in G-Suite (Google) applications (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc.).Exceptional organization and time management skills.Self motivated and driven to succeed.Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.Salary and Benefits:Competitive salary based on experienceHealth insurance, dental, vision, short and long term disabilityCompany funded life insurance401K with employer matchPaid holidays, sick time, vacation timeCasual dress codeThis is a full time, permanent positionTypical work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm on-site in Archbold, OhioRelocation assistance availableWill require infrequent travel to industry events, trade shows, etc.
