Sports reporter The Herald & Review in Decatur, Illinois, is seeking a versatile team member for its sports department. The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic writer to help us keep up with an area rich in top sports programs and come away with more than just a game story. The person must be excited to keep us ahead of the curve with our online components by embracing social media, including digital, photo and video components. Responsibilities include covering 30 high schools that traditionally make an impact on the state level, as well as local colleges and general assignments. Decatur, located in Central Illinois, has an active downtown and numerous recreation opportunities. It is within easy driving distance to St. Louis, Chicago, and Indianapolis.
