Leadership quality, motivation, and a vision for the needs of a rural population, including under-served members of the community. Research grant opportunities, serve as Project Director as needed, and participate in new initiatives from the Board of Trustees. The Library Director should be able to select, train, assist, supervise, and evaluate personnel.
Supervise library services, operations, activities, material selections, weeding, and collection development.Ability to speak and serve as the library’s liaison with the community. Speak before groups and boards as needed. Communicate library information effectively in writing, including the ARIS Report, State Report, annual O6s Town Report, local monthly newsletters, and newspaper articles.Responsible for budget management, and preparation for the annual budget for the Board of Trustees. In charge of the expenditure of funds.Competent with technology and social media. Assist staff and patrons with old and new technologies.Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and completion of MBLC Basic Library Techniques within five years of employment.
