Job Summary
Conducts university courses for undergraduate students, focusing on teaching stringed instruments with a specialty in violin.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach during the fall and spring semesters.
- Teach stringed instruments, especially violin.
- Prepare and deliver lectures.
- Develop specialized materials for assignments.
- Stimulate class discussions.
- Administer and grade examinations or assign this task.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree required; Ph.D. preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years teaching in higher education.
- Skills: Ability to work independently, make decisions aligned with departmental goals, handle multiple tasks, excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, professionalism, confidentiality, and pedagogical expertise in teaching violin (immediate need).
Additional Information
The department is rebuilding its instrumental program with the goal of establishing a Lincoln University Symphony Orchestra.
