Role Overview The Director of Communications reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for developing and executing marketing and community engagement strategies. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategic plans. Design and execute communication strategies for diverse audiences. Maintain and update the website and social media platforms. Engage with media as the primary contact for KWUA. Organize and manage community events. Build and sustain relationships with media, stakeholders, and policymakers. Identify and pursue partnership, sponsorship, and advertising opportunities. Create press releases, op-eds, newsletters, and magazine content. Monitor and report on engagement metrics and media coverage. Curate public relations and marketing projects to benefit KWUA and its members. Perform additional duties as assigned. Candidate Profile The role demands high energy and dedication. They should possess the expertise to manage short-, medium-, and long-term goals aligned with organizational vision.
