Job Summary/Description:

WCTV, a 67-year-old Gray Media Group station in Tallahassee, Florida, has an established list of clients and is looking for an experienced sales professional. We offer a great work environment, competitive compensation, and access to top advertising platforms including CBS, MeTV, MyNetwork, CIRCLE, and comprehensive digital solutions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Exceed or meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
2. Develop and maintain client relationships
3. Secure new local advertising business
4. Service and grow existing accounts through creative ideas and professional consultative selling
5. Build long-term relationships with clients, agencies, and media buyers
6. Understand marketing concepts and media strategies
7. Know the Tallahassee-Thomasville-Valdosta media market
8. Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Wide Orbit, Microsoft Office, comScore)
9. Prepare for meetings and meet deadlines
10. Represent WCTV professionally
11. Ensure accurate order processing and timely billing

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Proven sales success in local media, broadcast TV preferred
2. Excellent listening, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
3. Ability to build and nurture business relationships
4. Multitasking and prioritization skills
5. Confident personality with a strong sense of urgency
6. Analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience
