InteriorDesigner/ Design Consultant for our Fort Myers showroom. The ideal candidate willbe responsible for conceptualizing and creating visually stunning andfunctional interior design while developing a solid client base and pipelineworking with customers in our beautiful showrooms. The ideal candidate shouldhave a strong eye for detail and a firm understanding of the principles ofdesign, color and texture mingled with a sound professional sales background assaid candidate is responsible for processing sales transactions, returns,special orders and will ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate andcomplete. The Interior Designer/Design Consultant should be a team player whocan, when necessary, provide both direction and mentorship to design assistantsas well as interact seamlessly with Management, Customer Service and OfficeSupport staff.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIESWork one-on-one with customers whovisit our well-appointed retail showrooms.Prepare design presentations on aproject basis, structured or unstructured, dependent on scope, throughvisual media including but not limited to, fabric, finish, photos andfloor plans in house or digitally.
Provide accurate measurements to ourCAD Team for presentations, utilizes room planner program or CADassistance on studio presentations to clients.Assume responsibility forefficiently handling sales functions.Effective completion of salesrecords and reports.Assume responsibility forestablishing and maintaining good interpersonal relations with clients.Project a genuinely positive companyimage to the public.JOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Interior Designor 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training or equivalentcombination of education and experience in high-end furniture sales. ASIDcertification preferred.Strong organizational skills withexceptional attention to detail.Ability to multi-task andprioritize.Excellent communication andadministrative skills required.Experience/familiarity with CAD, andmoderate proficiency in Microsoft Office.Valid Driver License with a cleandriving record and ability to provide personal transportation to customerhomes for in-home appointments.
