The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with a strong focus on full social media management and website maintenance. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage social media calendars, create and analyze content, and collaborate with various departments to ensure the organization's brand and messaging are effectively represented across our social channels.Responsibilities
Social Media Management (50%):Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the organization's goals.Manage and maintain all social media platforms including content creation, scheduling, and engagement.Create and curate engaging and brand-aligned content, including graphics, videos, and articles.Monitor social media channels for industry trends and audience engagement, adjusting strategies as needed.Analyze and report on social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.Website Maintenance (30%):Assist in the maintenance and optimization of the organization's multiple websites, ensuring functionality and performance.Regularly update website content to reflect current campaigns, events, and organizational news.Leverage SEO best practices to improve website visibility and traffic.Analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics and provide regular reports to stakeholders.Data Analysis and Performance Tracking (10%):Utilize analytics tools to track key performance metrics across digital channels.Monitor campaign performance and generate insights for continuous optimization.Prepare and present detailed performance reports to the marketing team and stakeholders.Collaboration and Stakeholder Management (10%):Collaborate with internal teams including business development, fundraising, events and marketing to align digital marketing efforts with overall organizational objectives.Build and maintain relationships with external partners and agencies as needed.Essential experience, knowledge, skills and abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.4+ years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on social media and website management.Proven track record of developing and implementing successful digital marketing strategies.Experience in managing social media platforms and web content management systems (CMS).Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and utilize data to drive decisions.Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or similar platforms.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to use sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive information.Creative mindset with an eye for design and content creation.Experience with non-profit marketing and websites preferred.Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools preferred.Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva preferred.Direct reports:

Position will be a hybrid of office/telework with the position based out of the Washington, DC office location and regular telework schedule based on organizational policy, need and manager discretion.Must be comfortable with animals, in particular dogs, in the office and at events.May be opportunity for occasional travel.Occasional weekend or evening work hours may be required.While performing the duties of this position, the employee will regularly be required to:
Look at and work on a computer screen for extended periods, andTalk, hear and exchange information over the telephone, video screen and in person.
