The Global Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, organizing, and executing of all facets of global product management and communications for Design Master, a Division of Smithers-Oasis. Design Master was established in 1961 and offers extraordinary color sprays and dyes for professionals in the global floriculture, horticulture, floral design, and craft markets. This position is part of a small, dynamic team that is growing the newest Division in Smithers-Oasis. Details on this new position are below.

What We Need:
We are seeking an individual who currently resides in Northeast Ohio who is curious and creative to fill the role of Global Marketing Manager on our Design Master team, located in Kent, OH. This individual must have an outgoing personality and an interest or curiosity about different cultures. The Global Marketing Manager must have a collaborative approach and has a strong ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of our global organization.
Some responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):
Liaises between local markets and Design Master Team for floral paint and color product ideation, development, and field testing, and guide global launches of new technology for floral products.Monitors significant global trends that drive user wants and needs and impact product expectations and share insights with senior leadership team.Manages global marketing of all paint and color products.Participates in creating a long-term product strategy to maximize Smithers-Oasis worldwide sales and profits for current and new paint and color related products that may be developed.Collaborates with internal and external sources to further develop and launch/re-launch the global paint and color product portfolio.With the Creative and Education Director - Design Master, develops and executes global product management activity for floral paint and color, including but not limited to new product development, market trends, competitive activity and analysis, global-based marketing communications.Participates as a member of the Design Master team, sharing marketing strategies, resources, information and new product ideas.Develops goals and objectives, and delivers projects on budget, on time, completing all deliverables. Ensures timely workflow and communication of project statuses.Acts as the “face” of Design Master at industry events.Participates in and/or leads projects relating to internal and external brand communications, either directly from the Design Master® brand or through Smithers-Oasis business units.Supports Design Master marketing asset development and ownership, assuring access by the global marketing teams. Includes video, product photography, packaging, brochures, sell sheets, research papers, and social media content.Collaborates with local marketing teams to ensure compliance with brand guidelines.Supports and lead by example the Core Values of the organization.Who We Are Looking For:
An individual who has a Bachelor’s Degree Marketing, Business or Communications.An individual with a minimum of 7 years of experience in progressively responsible marketing roles.An individual who has an outgoing personality and the awareness to adjust to situations and culture.An individual who is able to communicate effectively both from a verbal and written standpoint in a global company. Must be able to speak clearly and persuasively in all situations. Gets clarification and responds well to questions. Writes clearly and informatively. Listens and observes.An individual who has knowledge of color and design and enthusiasm for creativity will be needed to achieve long-term success. There will be training opportunities, however a natural creative drive must be innate.An individual who has a keen interest and experience in international business and cultures.An individual who has strong leadership skills and ability to work in a fast paced, team environment with competing priorities and have the ability to prioritize and balance competing goals.An individual who has a balance of analytical aptitude and creative ability.An individual who has previous experience in marketing strategic planning as well as product and brand management.An individual who proven business acumen in evaluating financial projections for entry into new product categories.An individual with an aptitude for working on and leading cross-functional teams.An individual who can work effectively with external suppliers on a global basis.An individual who has a strong ability to execute programs on time and on budget.An individual who is able to either lead or participate in meetings that fall outside of normal business hours on a regular basis.An individual who enjoys domestic and international travel and is able to do so. Travel schedules can be managed but may reach 30% out of office over a year’s time.An individual who has experience with paint is a bonus, but not a requirement.What We Offer:

The salary range for this position is $119,000 to $140,000 and includes a 10% annual bonus potential.
Work Structure:
This position will be based at our Corporate office in downtown Kent, OH. Please note that during the initial onboarding period for this position, the individual will be required to work onsite Monday through Friday. Upon satisfactory completion of the onboarding period, the individual can transition to a hybrid work structure of 3 days in office and 2 days remote, if desired.
