Mission
Within the SSBU Marketing department and in close contact with the SSBU Development, Regulatory, and Sales Teams, you will create, develop, and update the assigned portfolio strategy, ensuring profitable growth within the EMEA region.As a project leader, you will manage the assigned portfolio's product life cycle, ensuring it achieves the desired direction and remains profitable.In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring cost efficiency, short time to market, and market fit for all assigned projects.
Accountabilities
The selected candidate's profile will determine the focus of this position but could include responsibilities of our biocontrol, plant growth regulator, or biostimulant portfolio.Reporting to the SSBU Marketing Leader and within the EMEA marketing department, the main accountabilities for this position are:
Define Portfolio Strategies
Secure the portfolio expansion and competitiveness for the current and future portfolio.Ensure a coherent and consistent strategy, especially with the Go-to-Market, crop approach and country approach in close cooperation with the development, regulatory and commercial teams.Ensure participation and collaboration with the global organization structure (Sumitomo Chemical in Japan, Valent Bioscience in US, and European commercial affiliates).Drive the product life cycle management activities
Create, collect and follow the area needs and market opportunities for the SSBU team.Ensure that the strategy and the product life cycle management are always aligned with market needs.Collaborate closely with the Biorational HQ (Valent Biosciences) on project management for the EMEA region.Ensure a close collaboration with the Commercial team, Operational marketing team and Demand creators’ team, in order to capture market needs.Ensure a close collaboration with Development and Regulatory teams, to align strategies and projects.Identify third party products for portfolio expansion and synergy with existing and future portfolio.Build Budget figures
Build and Review SPR & MRP figures and assumptions, according to portfolio strategies and aligned with commercial and marketing teams.Together with local Operational Marketing and Demand creators, review the marketing and communication framework and promotional activities to ensure that they are always aligned with the SSBU strategy.Follow up the sales impact of the activities on its portfolio.Provide support to the commercial teams in the EMEA region and ensure the consistency between the customer needs and the portfolio strategy.Technical Skills
Strong leadership skills,Good planning and autonomy skills, together with teamwork ability.Proven ability to deliver results against a changing and difficult business environment.Good communication skills.Initiative and InnovationEducation and Experience
Agronomic Engineer or equivalent (Master’s degree In agronomy)7-10 years in a marketing position in the agrochemical industry (crop protection and/or fertilizers) including Biostimulants.Strong project management skillsLanguage: Fluent English (written and oral as working language)IT: Microsoft 365 mandatory and Project Management tools valued.Additional information:
Italy or Spain, preferably - or Europe - home office basedDesired start: 1 st
