Position Title: Creative Marketing Operations Manager
Location: Chicago (Hybrid or Onsite Preferred)
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time
Overview:
A well-established, consumer-facing organization in the healthcare services space is seeking a Creative Marketing Operations Manager to oversee and optimize marketing technologies, systems, workflows, and processes across its enterprise. This highly technical and process-driven role will manage and enhance tools such as project management platforms, digital asset management (DAM), media asset management (MAM) systems, and creative workflow solutions to support efficiency and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Technology & Workflow Optimization
- Own and maintain the marketing tech stack including tools like Monday.com, Brandfolder, Dropbox, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and others
- Drive post-launch optimizations to systems and workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align tools with organizational goals
- Implement ongoing system improvements for efficiency and scalability
2. Digital & Media Asset Management (DAM/MAM)
- Manage DAM/MAM systems to ensure proper organization, tagging, and storage of digital assets (images, video, audio)
- Standardize metadata, taxonomy, and governance across all assets
- Audit asset libraries for compliance, licensing, and redundancy
- Coordinate asset ingestion and sharing across marketing, creative, and external agencies
3. System Integration & Administration
- Lead integration of creative tools and marketing platforms to ensure seamless data flow
- Maintain system configurations and updates aligned with business needs
- Provide internal technical support, troubleshooting issues across the creative ecosystem
4. Reporting & Analytics
- Generate reports on asset usage, workflow efficiency, and tool adoption
- Develop dashboards and insights to inform operations strategy
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and evaluate marketing ROI
5. Training & Support
- Train new hires and existing staff on tools such as Monday.com, Brandfolder, and Dropbox
- Maintain SOPs and user documentation for marketing systems
- Act as the point of contact for marketing tech-related troubleshooting and support
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with creative leadership and project management teams to align on workflows
- Coordinate with external agencies and production partners on asset delivery and organization
- Ensure all creative tools and assets meet internal standards and brand requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in a marketing operations, marketing systems, or project management role within a fast-paced environment
- Strong proficiency in Monday.com or similar project management platforms
- 3+ years of experience managing digital or media asset management platforms (DAM/MAM)
- Experience with tools like Brandfolder, Iconik, Canto, EditShare, Aprimo, or similar
- Deep understanding of metadata, rights management, and asset lifecycle best practices
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Data-driven mindset with an eye for identifying areas for optimization
- Experience integrating and automating tools and workflows across teams
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar
- Understanding of creative production processes and file types (video, images, audio)
- Experience working on or alongside in-house creative teams or external agencies
