Description
The purpose of the student internship/temporary position is to provide opportunities for college students to gain experience in the field of Destination Marketing.
Individual must be available at least part time during the work week between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
**Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.
**Additional compensation based on licensure.

As a Destination Marketing Intern, you will assist in building destination awareness and increasing visitor-generated revenue targeting the leisure traveler. Reporting to the management team, you will support the planning, development, and execution of ONSC Tourism's in-house creative content to drive visitation to Seminole County partners including hotels, attractions, restaurants, and arts & cultural events.
Content Development : Assist in the creation, design, and production of engaging content and copy for ONSC marketing initiatives, with a focus on highlighting Seminole County's arts, culture, attractions, and hospitality offerings
Record and document meter readings accurately for future analysis and reference.
Photo & Video Production : Participate in photo and video shoots and assist in the editing process to produce high-quality visual content for social media storytelling.
Assist in the maintenance and updating of the county's meter database.
Social Media Management:
Maintain the Do Orlando North social media presence by researching, creating content, graphic design, scheduling posts, and monitoring and responding to messages & comments.
Asset Management:
Organize and manage digital assets including photographs and videos.
Collaboration:
Work with internal teams to support advertising campaigns, providing input on ad creative, messaging, and targeting strategies.
Industry Partnership:
Engage with industry partners to schedule and coordinate shoots, maintaining strong relationships with hotels, hospitality business owners, short-term rentals, and other stakeholders.
Project Management:
Participate in the coordination and project management phases of Tourism marketing programs, ensuring timely delivery and quality of outputs.
Participate in training sessions to enhance understanding of electrical systems and meter verification processes.
Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in a higher education program (university, college, or technical institute), pursuing a degree in Digital Marketing, with preferred experience in Communications, Journalism, Social Media Marketing, Digital Design, Video & Photo Production.
Additional Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License
Experience or coursework in destination marketing.
An external portfolio demonstrating relevant skills.
Must have experience in Microsoft Office software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other various software for program staff support.
Strong proficiency in digital content design and editing.
Experience with social media platforms and best practices.
Excellent writing and grammar skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Photography and videography skills and familiarity with camera equipment.
Experience with design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, Creative Cloud, and/or InDesign is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Willingness to attend events, which may include nights and weekends.
