This position is responsible for setting up new vendor accounts, tracking monthly marketing budgets, and processing invoices against marketing campaigns and initiatives. In addition, this role is responsible for administering surveys, collecting and pulling data, and reporting through our CRM platform. The marketing data specialist will also create reports, presentations, and analyze trends for the marketing team.
As a key team member, the marketing data specialist will attend regular agency meetings and learn about new marketing technologies, attribution, and digital trends. This role will support the marketing team with initiative-taking follow-up on immediate action items and creating implementation plans and timelines. The marketing data specialist will also provide return on investment analyses and inquiry to enrollment conversion metrics and recommendations for continual campaign optimizations.
Responsibilities Include:Understand and optimize the precise mechanics and data underpinning each of our marketing channels.Design, develop and deliver data-powered solutions including problem definition, data acquisition, data exploration, and visualization and design tools for this process.Analyze large data sets to actively monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for top-line growth and/or efficiency gains.Partner closely with various agencies as well as Google, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc. to build and maintain strong relationships.Track marketing spend (manually and via API, depending on the type of spend) and collaborate with the accounting team to ensure we are on tracking correctly to budgeted plans.Regularly update marketing team on marketing performance, opportunities, and testing strategy.Design and execute A/B tests on creative elements of campaigns, including ad copy headlines, ad descriptions, ad formats, and ad images.Measure, report, present results, findings, and suggested strategies to stakeholders.Consult with and seek out ways to improve and find data insights for stakeholders.Pull data, metrics, and analytics for marketing campaign, channel, and conversion performance (includes CPL, CPE, CPS, CPM, KPIS, ROI, etc.) via CRM platforms including Salesforce, Datorama.Conduct market and competitive research and report results.Prepare reports on marketing and admissions metrics to optimize performance.Track campaign budgets, process all marketing invoices, and month-end accruals.Oversee new vendor onboarding, billing, and purchase orders.
Qualifications:Required Knowledge, Education and Experience:An undergraduate degree in business, math, finance, computer science, or marketing data/analytics.2-5 years’ experience in business, finance, marketing analytics (including related internships).Comfort navigating and manipulating large data sets to identify trends and underlying drivers.Possess excellent analytical and numerical skills and are deeply creative with great critical thinking skills.Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.Proficiency creating data hygiene processes from scratch.Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given campaign.Working knowledge with CRM platforms (i.e.: Salesforce) and LMS (i.e.: Sparkroom).Experience with online data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.).Proficiency with MS Office Suite programs including Excel (including pivot tables), Word & PowerPoint.Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Excellence in implementation, including attention to detail, high productivity, and strong organizational skills.Initiative-taker, ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team.Lifetime learner with a desire to expand knowledge in new areas for continued growth and professional development.Ability to thrive (and preference to work) in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequently changing goals and deadlines.
