Job Summary:To provide support to management with planning, development and coordination of internal and external marketing and communications projects, programs and events.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing or related area and one year of digital-communication related experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Work requires creative thinking and writing, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people and departments. Project management skills and ability to multi-task are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, participate in the development and implementation of UMMC's marketing strategies.Plan and coordinate the creation and implementation of internal and external communication programs, project and collateral (printed and digital) to local, statewide and regional audiences that are effective in achieving an identified goal(s).Provide support as needed for presentations, special projects, public and community events and public relations activities managed by the Office of Communications and Marketing.The duties listed are general in nature and are examples of the duties and responsibilities performed and are not meant to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, frequent sitting, occasional standing, and frequent walking.
