Overview
Assisting company sales personnel in specifying and configuring media server solutions based on customer requirements
Assisting in all aspects of building, configuring Windows-based and Linux-based media servers and associated software
Assisting in the design and execution of worldwide tradeshows and product demos, Leading the development of video/graphic content creation where needed
Working with customers to provide onsite configuration and commissioning services
Providing customer support (telephone, email, remote access, on-site) including responding to questions, troubleshooting issues, reviewing media server programming, and performing bench testing for customers
Interfacing with existing and future software solution suppliers to resolve issues, understand future product direction, and evaluate new product additions
Conducting and assisting in the delivery of customer training sessions
Candidates should have the following experience and skills:
Experience working with Dataton WATCHOUT or similar media server software (Hippo, Isadora, QLab, PIXERA, etc.)
Functional knowledge of Windows PC hardware and software, including Windows 11 and gaming-related technologies
Working knowledge of current video technologies and standards (switchers, routing, codecs/trans-coding, video over IP, GPUs/integrated graphics technologies)
Knowledge of A/V concepts and terminology
Willingness and flexibility to travel as required to support customers and projects
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite or similar content creation software
Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
Experience testing and bench-marking PC software and hardware solutions
Ability to learn new media server solutions quickly
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong customer focus with a passion for creating solutions and solving problems
In general, candidates must be comfortable with all facets of Windows-related hardware assembly, configuration, and maintenance.
Nice-to-have skills include:
Knowledge of Linux
A valid US passport
CompTia A+, MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, or similar certifications.
Candidates ideally have a minimum of two years of higher education in a relevant discipline.
Requirements
Candidates should enjoy working in a small team, engaging with customers, be detail oriented, be able to self-manage their schedule and be willing to assist other team members in any reasonable capacity. Although most work will be performed in the office, up to 70% of the work will require travel as needed.
