Medica is a non-profit health insurance company headquartered in Minnetonka with offices in Madison and Omaha. Medica is engaged in our communities through the charitable grant-making work of the Medica Foundation and through active employee giving and volunteer programs.
Medica will host a 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch-and-Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. We strive to offer a well-rounded education of the inner workings of a health plan. Each internship offers a meaningful experience and impactful projects you will be able to discuss with future employers. At Medica, we look forward to our Summer Internship Program each year.
Department Introduction:
Medica's Graphic Design Intern is responsible for developing and executing innovative, creative ideas and concepts for print, digital, videos, presentations, and other promotional materials. They assure brand consistency and understand brand goals, key initiatives, promotions, and project performance as they relate to pagination, product selection, copy, promotions, and overall design. The intern will also make revisions, updates, and changes to design, copy, and layout as needed.
Qualifications:
Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree
Skills and Abilities:
Mastery of Adobe Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier Pro
Professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational and team player skills
Strong self-management skills and ability to prioritize and manage time
Proficient technical/computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office
This position is a hub-based role which requires onsite presence. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership and may be up to 2-3 days a week. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must reside within a commuting distance to our Minnetonka, MN office.
