The Medical Promotional Review Consultant is responsible for: Providing compliant, medically accurate, and scientifically sound solutions while providing marketing with competitive solutions for consumer, healthcare provider, and managed care promotional and non-promotional materials for established brands and derivative materials for assigned projects. Acting as lead for medical review during Promotion Review Committee (PRC) meetings and overseeing the medical advertising promotional review process. Providing guidance on medical/scientific support for PRC and, if needed, escalating risks to their manager or line manager within the client organization. Reviewing promotional, disease awareness, and medical materials in detail. Participating in cross-functional team meetings and prioritization discussions for the assigned promotion review team. Communicating information from promotion review meetings to the broader medical team when appropriate and escalating risk items to management. Partnering with stakeholders in the execution and creation of tactics related to label changes for assigned brands. Staying up-to-date with relevant clinical data, publications, and treatment guidelines published by medical associations. Monitoring the US regulatory promotional environment by staying informed about FDA regulations and guidance, reviewing untitled and warning letters issued by relevant authorities. Attending major industry and FDA meetings as appropriate. Necessary Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently with flexibility, collaborating effectively with clients and team members remotely. Proven ability to provide strategic medical guidance, analyze efficacy and safety data, and interpret clinical information in line with FDA and pharmaceutical regulations. Deep understanding of scientific data from clinical trials, review articles, and medical textbooks. Knowledge of pharmaceutical advertising, creative review, and approval processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic review tools like Veeva Vault PromoMats. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical, Science, Marketing, Business, or Communications; PharmD preferred. At least 5 years of related experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or healthcare advertising agency. Functional experience in pharmaceutical medical affairs.
